Yokohama S-drive?

Postby Jay Jones on Fri Jul 25, 2008 9:20 am

Does anyone have experience with the Yokohama S-drive tires? I'm thinking of putting them on a 87 911 w/17" C-2 turbo wheels. Thse would be mostly for street use and an occasional autocross. Once I get time again for AX/DE, I'll get a second set of tires and wheels.

They're resonably priced, and the online reviews indicate that they have low noise and ride well.

Yoko S-drive

We put a set on our M3. I think we have 3-4k miles on them of only street use. So far, I like them much better than the Michelin PS2's that were on it previously. Quiet, good ride, quick turn in, and great traction, even when wet, however rare that is.

I don't know how they would do on a track or how they will be when worn 50+%, but so far, they are great! :D
