I'll drink to that. Foster Brooks for president!!!!! If we stop now with so few posts would it be fair to say that the club finds Hoosiers a more important subject than beer? Next we'll have to give up the beer drinking smilies? :banghead: :banghead: From my humble perspective there are 2 issues here 1. alcohol or not and 2. the club providing it with club funds. Personally if everyone that wanted a brew brought their own this could be a non issue. The exposure of the Club to liability would be greatly (if not completely) diminished and those that chose to could still have their Pepsi or Stone Brewing Co beverages. Just my $.01( I'm hiding the other $.01) so Obama doesn't get to give it away. :roflmao:

I know some people who should have designated driver during the event. My new association; D. R. U. N. K. ( Drinking Reckless Unrepentant Nuclear Kruiser) :beerchug:

Amen.

If we ARE going to continue the debate about alcohol and driving, can we at least start that on a separate thread, and talk generically about ALL PCA SDR events, not just AX? And this thread was originally about holding the beer hostage to get the trailer loaded, which should be plenty exciting enough all by itself without discussing the merits of imbibing alcohol in proximity with driving.

By the way, I have a vested interest in the trailer getting packed up quickly. I don't see the beer hostage approach actually working, so I would suggest we just put the beer well away from the trailer so we have room to back the truck up and get stuff loaded.

Hey! Just like beer, participation in this thread is optional! Take it or leave it, but don't constrain the behavior of others because the topic is full of contentiousness and beyond your bounds of reasonable discourse. :roflmao:

I see a simple solution. No beer for Stock classes and below.

As for the trailer, moving just the beer won't help. It is the post-event gathering place. You'd need a separate table, results bulletin board and PA to move the congregants away from the trailer.

Thanks for volunteering yourself for our newest chair position: Designated Driver Assignment Manager (or DDAM for short)

Have fun with that one! :roflmao:

It's a good thing I live a mile from the stadium. I can just walk my drunk butt home! :beerchug:
