Jerry got pretty good video, we watched some of it last night. As soon as the moderators think he's got his parents' permission to post to the forum, he will upload the video.

That's Mr. Bastige to you......
:D

Ok, Mr Bastige, I'm gonna have to follow you around the course for a few turns. After watching the video it's clear you're alot smoother thru there than me. If I'm gonna punt you, I want to do it honorably!

I 2nd that for the rib guards! I have one at home and did not even think about bringing it. Dave and I along with a couple other people did 5 races for $65. After that 5th race a rib guard ould have definitely been nice. :)

I have designed a 'special' rib protector for you Erik!... Its a little heavier (by 50lbs) but your saftey is my first concern, beacuse I am a giver...give give give...

More fun and carnage was had by all. Erik tore it up as usual and the rest of us were battling it out for 2nd place. There were some interesting on track incidents. Let's just say that the starter almost got run over near the end of one race and my cart was on it's two rear wheels after a few people took turns punting me around :banghead:

Fun indeed. We ran enough races by the end of the night (Just one more.....just one more.....) to be sore from the "one size fits all" seats and holding ourselves in place with the steering wheel because of same.
As usual Eric smoked the rest of us, but the "Most improved" award of the night goes to Kelsey. After listening closely to Eric's coaching, she dropped 1-1/2 seconds off her lap times ending up about .5 second behind the Eric/Mark/Me gang by the end of the night.
Jerry also turned his fastest time ever, too bad his camera was frightened by the speed and jumped off his cart so there won't be mass epic video :banghead:

Don't miss the next one!

Good times, good times...

Dave offered the possibility that Jerry's camera may have bent a battery contact during its - er - "on track excursion". After the races we pried the contacts out a bit, and sure enough it works fine now. Next time There Will Be Blood (uh, I mean video)!
Congratulations go to Jerry for turning his fastest lap ever, and to Kelsie too - good job :beerchug:! Oh, and to Erik for doing what he always does to us mortals .

And Mark, I swear I thought you were one of those slow backmarkers in our group when I tried to pass on the inside . For what it's worth, it was a spectacular spin, the resulting crunch was audible from a couple turns further on, and I got flashed a "WARNING" sign.

Andy, I had the line on you and knew you couldn't pass. When I realized you were going to take me out, I just held on for the wild ride. At one point, I was looking up at the ceiling and my kart had the front wheels about 18" off the ground. I think I got hit by at least three people :o I'm pretty sure I got even with you later on though.

Anybody still doing this karting thing? Tomorrow is Two For Tuesday at Miramar and I'm thinking of going. I bought a membership last time I was there 2 months ago and I need to get back.
