Panamera Photos

Postby David J Marguglio on Fri Feb 13, 2009 12:37 pm

Greetings all. A friend of mine at PCNA just sent me the following link to the official photos released yesterday.

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/12/pors ... e-outside/

I am hoping that the lines in person do the car justice, because from photos I am having a hard time determining if they were shooting for a longer wheel-based Ferrari 550 or AMC Gremlin. On first blush, I would think this car could benefit from another four inches or rear overhang to finish off the tail. Photos would suggest that the designers got back to the C-pillar, then ran out of clay.

The interior pictures look like computer generated images.

Wow!
Interior is great! Front Looks OK , Side view isn't bad. :| Rear? Well? :o I agree that they must have run out of day. I think that they just grafted the back of a Volvo P1800 on. It is not quite as bad as the Gremlin. :surr:

I doubt I'll even get a 1/18th scale model of that car. But if I do you can play with it. :roflmao:

I like the headlights, but that's about it. Image

Dear god, was this monster designed in America? Because that may be the problem. I think it's time for restructuring the design department at Porsche.

It looks like the old Citroen DS :roflmao:

Early spy photos had a real trunk and lines similar to the MB sedan. Bummer they ditched the trunk.

Sean, save me the headlights if you do.

Check out this new Fisker Karma (electric car). Styling was supervised by Mr. Fisker, if not actually penned by him, and is as dramatic as any of his signature designs like the late BMW Z8 and the handsome Aston Martin DB9.
