ImageWell, it's inspired by Talladega, but we affectionately call it "Gumby". They would not let me keep the big Talladega sweeper because it may have inspired someone to do 130 MPH. I guess it had a little too much big-track inspiration after all. Thanks to Carl, Peter, Tom, Jim and Erick for pre-driving the track and working out some of the bugs. Thanks Victor for bringing down the TrackMate and giving us the track in virtual reality.

It's at Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley. We'll be running on the West Lot, so when you enter from the main entrance, turn right and you'll see cones and the trailer near the trolley tracks. Come down and check it out and say hi to everyone.

Welcome to the club, hopefully we'll see you more when your car is restored. Ask them to put the engine in the back where it belongs

You guys! I knew I would initiated at some point, but only after 2 posts :roflmao: The 928 was my teenager dream after Weird Science and the Mall Scene Burnout.

Cool, I am glad it's local so I can always spectate until I am ready. Is there a link to required equipment (helmets, seat belts, etc)?

Thanks for the welcome! I am very eager to meet you all and get in AX.

Sorry, I'm losing my touch, I should have told you where to put the engine after your 1st post, my bad. :surr:

At least you didn't say that the movie Risky Business inspired you after Tom Cruise let the 928 go for an underwater excursion

That did produce one of the best lines in the movie, though - "Alright, who's the U-Boat Kapitan?" :roflmao:

Check out the Rules link, then go to Competition Rules. Site back with a LARGE cup of coffee and read-up on all the reg's. For a shortened version of what you need to know, contact Greg Phillips (THE 928 guy) or Steve Grosekemper (Rules Guru) via a PM and/or find them at any of our driving events. They're very friendly guys who know what's what.

Welcome aboard.

PS - Don't take any grief about the location of the engine. If it says Porsche on the build tag, it is a Porsche.

Rules link is dead. Do you have an updated link?

Here is the dead one http://zone8.pca.org/rules.htm
