If we can pre-tech, when is the driver's meeting and first-car-out scheduled?

Thanks, Martin. Good news on pre-tech. So, with pre-tech, we don't need to show up until around 8-8:15AM to pick up wrist band, run group, sign the waiver, and still make the driver's meeting. Right?

DON AND ANY OTHERS THAT ARE PLANNING ON MAKING THE TRIP TO FONTANA ON JUNE 15TH, PLEASE READ:

Yes, please make all efforts to have your car pre-teched before coming to an "Away" track event. It makes life easier on the limited number of techs we have at the track and saves on the possibility of having your car possibly fail tech on site.

See you then! :beerchug:

Hi Peter,

Will we be able to do pre-tech at the usual suspects - Black Forest?

For anybody who is not sure of requirements:
The fire extinguisher has to have a METAL band
Long sleeves and pants
Closed shoes

E. For Time Trial and DE roll bars/cages are mandatory in all cars entered in any Improved class or higher, and are strongly recommended in all cars.

All "open" cars in Time Trial and DE are also required to have roll bars/cages, except for Boxsters, 996 and 997 cabriolets in Street Stock and Stock classes. These cars come equipped with adequate factory rollover protection for these classes. In parking lot courses this requirement is waived for all "open" cars in Street Stock and Stock classes.

I see 43 entries so far  , what is the break even? Is it possible it will be cancelled if there are not enough cars? When can we invite others to join, non P car?

Thanks a lot,

We can invite non-Porsches right now. We need 65 to break even. Thanks for asking.

Dan and others,

There is NO CHANCE this event will be cancelled for any reason. We have full board approval to continue and besides that, we're within the contract window where we are obligated to pay the full track rental fee.

Hello folks, This will be my 1st event with SDR  I would like it to try to have my car be up to snuff when I get to Fontucky . Could someone please clarify the finer points of this requirement ?
"The fire extinguisher has to have a METAL band"
My current fire extinguisher setup has a plastic constructed frame, collar & retention strap for a 3.0 lb unit. its mounted horizontally on my passenger seat mount bracket. Will this pass muster :?:

Nope, it won't. I have an extra extinguisher with a metal mount that you are welcome to borrow, though. Send me a PM if interested.

We are going to have non-driving passengers allowed at $20 for the day.

A "Taste of the Track" program may be implemented. This will allow a person to ride in the passenger seat of an instructor's car during a run session (for instruction only). The participant will register for the event, pay an entrance fee, and sign the insurance waiver. The Event Chairperson must approve all participants and instructors for this program.

Martin,

One of my daughters would like to do the "Taste of the Track" if you have it, but she is not going to be driving that day as she doesn't have enough PCASDR experience to qualify for driving in this DE yet. She is a PCA member. Would she be able to be a passenger (Taste of the Track) without being a registered driver for the DE?

The quoted language is from our rules. It says nothing about being a member. As one of three event chairpersons, I vote YES...bring her! She has to ride with an instructor.

BTW, Garages are now open for reservation $30 on Motorsport Reg
