I do appreciate your comments!
I also understand Dan C's point about a web post. These are all volunteers and really aren't required to spend their free time viewing all the posts for issues to bring up at meetings. I have no problem forwarding the issue to the required member. But if Dan C. would bring it up in my absence at a board meeting? It would be appreciated.
Thanks again to both of you, and all of the volunteers!

Dan A. and Mike:

Already done.
Let me assure you, between Carl, Ralph, Lewis, and myself this year, and Martha, Denise, Bob, and myself next year, the competitive drivers in the club are well represented. As those who make decisions for
all the members, we dance the tight-rope of ensuring the best possible balance of opportunity for all members every time we meet.
Kim Crosser could not have said it better. It is one thing to interpret a message from someone on a forum rich with double- entandre and jokes, (ie: Dan A. fiscal analysis
"This will not be a popular view I am sure, but its my opinion the price is too high. If it wasn't you wouldn't annouce and almost 50% off discount to new TTers. How about a discount for PCA members, and leave the $275.00 rate for non members? Just a thought.") and someone e-mailing a message to Jack Miller or the Board and saying:
"I think the cost of TT's is too high. I've done some number-crunching and I think it's possible to lower the cost based on my analysis. Jack, could you please present a request to the Board to lower the cost of TT's? Please feel free to use my table and notes for argument's sake. Thanks, Jack"
Now, instead of assumption, interpretation, or presumed interest in a subject, the Chair, and the Board know exactly what you want. The Chair (in this case Jack Miller) comes to the meeting, presents his request, and gets an anwser. The result is posted in the Windblown Witness (yes, that page near the back that says "Board Minutes" ... the one you rapidly turn over to get to that favorite picture of you driving at Pahrump...) and you know what's going on and why. No mysteries. No presumtions by Chairs and Board members. Efficient use of your Chair, and a process that gets things done.
I hope this helps.
As always, at your service:
