I'd be in for around 200 bucks. Run time, as in everything in life. We all prefer longer but take what we can get.

I'll be removing mufflers :) can't let those jets be louder then me. :roflmao:

I believe we had 80 some odd drivers at Fontana with a small wait list. I'd like to think that we could get at least 100 drivers because:
1. this is a unique experience to drive a venue traditionally closed to non-vintage drivers
2. we may get some vintage racers looking for more practice time (separate run group?)
3. one saves gas and motel money because of the shorter travel distance so a higher entrance fee would be acceptable.

Even if we fell short by say 10 entrants, the "loss" of 20 X $220 = $2200 would be a worthwhile investment for the AX drivers if we could cultivate the base into allowing us to run there when we lose the Q.

We could even hedge our bets by charging $10 more initially per entrant but refunding said $10 (at registration) if we meet our breakeven numbers.

Too many DEs will hurt attendance in both :surr:

We are interested in entering the DE at Coronado with the 911 and two drivers. I think 4x 25 min. sessions per driver would be sufficient, but I am in either-way. My co-workers can watch me having fun from the office building :roflmao:

We are thinking of having 3 drivers at Coronado if it works out. Amy wants to try the Koni car! We vote for lots of short sessions.

Aug 8 is canceled. We would need another 137 to do both to make it work.
AND another DE team to run these events. :surr:

Perhaps the Aug. 8 date could be used for an autox instead of a DE, since we have the west lot reserved, rather than giving up the date to another club? It would be a different team running the event, and a different target audience.

Two thumbs up for Mr. Tweeds idea of retaining the Q date for an Ax. :beerchug: :beerchug:

Re: DE at Coronado on 9/24- Registration opens 7/24

Right now the registration is set for 100 PCA and 50 non-PCA. If the non-PCA sells out fast we will have to move over run groups to meet the demand. This is not a register at the last minute event. There are 300 vintage racers who pay double what we are charging that are being invited. There is also quite a stir at BMW/Mini clubs regarding this event. We need PCA members to support this event and register early. This will be a wonderful opportunity to run at a local track that has been exclusive to only one group. You snooze...you lose will be the motto here.

There will also be a Saturday and Sunday event that will help us in getting brownie points with the Base. We are still working on the details, but I know we will need instructors. Stay tuned.
