Thank you Jack for an excellent event.

Are you anticipating a change in the cost of the events next year?

Honestly, if the cost is around $175.00 I'd be up for more than 5, if it remains staus quo I'll do less. But thats just me. I don't know if we have enough members watching the board, but maybe Kary could try another Poll? How many people would be interested in the TT's at $175.00 ?

Anyway just an idea.

Dan

You'd do MORE if it were cheaper? Ok. Good to know.
New price increases announced for 2005 - $350 per event!!!

Just kidding. I presented a $250 price in the budget to the Board for Streets in Jan. That was approved. I think all the rest will be $275.

I was hoping for a price like 200.00?. Still more than POC but a better value at that price. 45 cars yeilds 4000.00 for corner workers, ambulance and insurance. Is this not enough? How about in addition to the 25.00 discount maybe add our 10.00 gate fee?

Yeah, it is enough and it even covers the BIG bucks that the club pays me and my helpers for putting on these events.

Thank you for your candid response. I guess I now better understand why not to question the clubs finances. :? Its unfortunate that my questioning the pricing is somehow viewed as unappreciative of your and others efforts. Nothing could be farther from the truth. FYI ,I don't pay 'just because'. Just like I didn't buy that Mini Cooper with the $3000.00 'just because' line item. I really enjoy this club and everyone in it, but it doesn't mean I won't question and expect a reasonable answer to a reasonable question based upon actual costs. As far as getting paid, I can't help you there.

Maybe Dan could just buy Kumhos like the rest of us peasants instead of fresh Hoosiers for each event. Than he wouldn't have to worry about the event costs. Plus the poor guy spends a fortune on other necessary costs for elderly racers, Depends, Metamucil, Kaopectate, Fiber One, Denture Cream, Enzyte, stool softeners, Preparation H, a custom race seat with a donut built in, Ben Gay and a bifocal helmet shield. He also needs a hefty supply of Dog Fancy magazine :D

I had an awesome time at this last event and have "seen the light" as to the pricing making these events moderately attended and providing us with incredible amounts of track time.

Thanks Jack!
