FREE BANNER FRIDAYS AT QUALTECH.

Postby Mike on Thu Aug 27, 2009 1:27 am

The FLY NAVY banners came out so nice Qualtech would like to extend this free banner offer to all Porsches participating in the Coronado speed festival.
That's correct, all Car Corral and DE Porsches please join us in displaying our Military support with these traditional FLY NAVY banners.

Here is a shot of my car corral 911 ready for fleet week.
Maybe this banner will get me better parking at the Blue Angel show?
Maybe your old banner is tired in need of replacement? :D
You won’t know why people keep checking out your car, is it the Porsche or your slick new banner?

Help us make PCA SDR the #1 sports car club with the military with these FLY NAVY banners! :D
Every Friday in September get a free banner at Qualtech.
While supplies last.

Leave it on for Fleet week then remove it, its all just for fun. :D

Very cool! I want one. Any chance of pre-tech earlier than 9/20? I would rather find out about problems the week of 9/14 than on the Sunday right before the event. Some of us don't have a lot of time during the work week to get car stuff fixed.

Glad you liked the banners!
Kim I'll run it by Mark Tyler and Dave Q at Qualtech.
Dave Q is a PCA tech inspector so maybe we can talk him into more convenient date as well.
Imagine a line of Porsches with FLY NAVY banners parked in the PCA car corral next to a Navy runway/race track. :D

It's tentative that there will be a 9/12 Sat. tech for the DE at AJ USA. I don't know if Martin Lipp  is handling the banner give away or not but it's a possibility they might be there also.
I can't make the 9/12 but I'll be teching along with Dave Q on 9/20

affirmative Jackie, the banners are for all Porsches attending the Coronado Speed Festival Car Corral or the DE.
Starting the first Friday of September drop by Qualtech anytime for your free banner.
No purchase or tech required to rx your free banner. :D

Check out the recent shop Porsche projects, a 911R and an RSR very near completion.

Umm.. 9/12 sounds good, except that 9/13 is an AX, which would void the pre-tech on 9/12. :( That is why I mentioned the week of 9/14 for pre-tech. I could go there at lunch during the week.

Did we ever get an official answer to the "will there be a tech line at the mini AX for volunteers that drive other than DE cars" question?
Is official tech really needed for a 40 mph "no helmets" mini ax in any case?
Since all the drivers are going to be instructors (in theory our most experienced competitors) can't we just "self tech" for this event?

I just spoke to Rick Sylvestri and we have a bunch of people who are volunteering at the mini-autocross who are approved Tech Inspectors.
