The Union Tribune may show up to see what we are doing for the sailors!!!!

You will get
* Free entrance to Speed Fest
* A chance to make some young sailors smile
* Free nice "checkered" shirt with Coronado Speed Fest and PCA Logo

Black Forest is sponsoring nice instructor shirts for us!

We need only 3 people to control the track (1 grid organizer, 1 starter, and 1 corner worker).
We want to offer this event to instructors for FREE with the idea that we will be giving rides to Navy people and possibly charge non-club members for rides to help us pay for the whole event. We need to know if instructors would be willing to burn some tires and gas in order to put some smiles on sailors' faces and get us brownie points with the Navy. My idea is to put on an event that they will be buzzing about for days.

I hope the event runs better than my graphic, but you get the idea. :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Gary's question about tech for the mini-autox never got answered in the original thread on this subject < http://forum.pcasdr.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3436 >, so I'm bringing it up again. For those instructors who want to volunteer for the mini-AX but are not driving in the DE on Thursday, or for those who may want to drive another car in the mini-AX event than the one they might be using for the DE, how will tech inspection be handled on Sat./Sun. for cars not already inspected for the DE?

Thx,
TT

So, if you volunteer to drive the mini-ax, you don't need a ticket to get into the speedfest, is that correct?

I just spoke to Rick Sylvestri and we have a bunch of people who are volunteering at the mini-autocross who are approved Tech Inspectors.
