It's not too late for instructors to bring a ride-along passenger on the track at Coronado. Bring a check made out to Hoos... uh, I mean PCA-SDR for $35 and present it at registration. Make sure the form for Fleet Week has that persons name and address and FAX it in to Fleet Week.

The trailer parking entrance is on the other side of the entrance to the paddock.
This map is approximate. We will have signs and a traffic coordinator to help you.

The "Personnel" form has places at the bottom for my name and address, plus that of my pit crew (if I was so lucky).

I can actually figure that out.

What about the company name, main contact, and address? I assume it's PCASDR, but what about the other info? :?

This is a general form that they use for everybody entering the event. You can either write "N/A" or leave stuff blank that does not apply. They won't kick you off for too much info. They won't be checking if you paid your taxes at the gate. Now if you have been donating money to al qaeda, it could be a problem :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Are we allowed to bring our own gas in a container on to the base?

I don't have a fax machine anymore (they are soooo last-century :D ) so I contacted Cody Nelson at Fleet Week, sent a scanned image of the form by email to cody@fleetweeksandiego.org, and got mine back in two days.

YMMV,

Hey John. Would you care to share some more of your knowledge of the track? Some of us novices could learn a lot from you. Like what gears you are using in the different corners and the best line to use?
Maybe you could just print out the pass from the post above. 8)

Thanks Tom...I'll email her, she is the one I work with on our PCA Hospitality Tent.

Gordon...I'm happy to tell you what gears I use, but I'm not sure if they relate to your car's trans or tire size.

Turn 1/2...I use 3rd gear
Turn 3...I use 3rd gear
Turn 4...I use 2nd gear
Up to 4th between Turn 4 and Turn 5
Turn 5...I use 3rd gear, this chicane is one car at a time, and easy to hit something,so be carefull!
Turn 6/7...I use 2nd gear and it's the slowest turn on the track
Turn 8 and Turn 9...I use 2nd gear
Turn Turn 10 and Turn 11...I use 3rd gear
Up to 5th on the front before Turn 1

Hope that helps, it should be fun:)

John
