AX this Saturday.

Postby Dan Chambers on Mon Oct 19, 2009 3:23 pm

Are we all worn out? Are all the tires and brake pads gone? I see only 42 entrants for this saturday on prereg. Is that correct? Wow.

At the last AX I attended (west lot) there were around 90 drivers. The PDS was low in attendance, now this. Wow. I don't know if the economy is hurting everyone's track play-money, if the timing of so many events back-to-back is taking its toll, or if we're all too busy with other things in life (why I missed the East Lot event). But Holy Cow, 42 prereg? Mmm, Mmm, Mmm. Looks like it's gonna be a 18 to 20 lap day  unless we get more attendance.

So, who's showing up Saturday? Let's hope the recent graduates of the PDS take advantage of their discount and attend this one. There should be lots of seat time, right?

See you all Saturday AM. 8)

 You can say that again! What's that first ...err...."turn" ... thing ... you got going on? :surr: Have you been drinking with Gary Samad again? :roflmao: If I didn't know better, I'd say the AX Team has gotten a little loopy! :banghead: (Oh, come on. someone had to say it.)

Dang - if I'd kept my "drifter" tires on, that first loop could have been pretty cool. 8)
I'll be there with new tires, so no (well, fewer) excuses. :burnout:
Only 42 entrants? Woo-hoo - top 10 time, here we come! :beerchug: (Unless the 42 include the Kinningers, Busalacci, Lucky Dave, Dan A, Carl V, Paul Y, Dan C, <insert many additional names here>...) Oh well, I can always dream on. :surr:

Well, it is more of a "Bill Behun, Unchained!" sort of thing. The season is almost over. So, we just got out of the way and let him feed his wild side.

Hola Gang,

I attended the PDS recently (my first driving event) and will be at the AX this Sat. behind the wheel of Snickers once again. (Paul Y's Yellow sweetie). I tried to get the 928 ready, tires balanced (though stock street :-/) Oil changed, boxes of spare parts cleared out. (no I am NOT kidding) and she is purring smoothly. Two things prevent me bringing her out, I believe I need to change the trans fluid and...well...I cant fit in her. :roflmao: I have the seat all the way back, but the other controlls are not working and with a helmet its a knees-in-the-dash-lean-my-head-45deg right situation. I am thinking that even if they did work I still need to relocate the seat or put in a race seat so I will be low enough to sqweeeeze in my huge mellon.

Anyway, Snickers and I became fast friends at the PDS and I am looking forward to running in her again.

See you all there!

Hey everyone!
Sounds like this weekend is going to be a lot fun (aka seat time!). I just finished the PDS recently as well, but unfortunately am out of town this weekend. I get in on Sunday afternoon. Does anyone want to reschedule? Just kidding. Hopefully some of the other Cayman guys jump in this weekend!!

I'll see you all on November 8th!

This Saturday will be Kelsey's first time driving the turbo "in anger" (she's driven it on the street). After all, it's just like a spec.....with twice as much power

Dave thats Great! I'm sure she will have a great time. looked like she was able to wined up the 944 spec car pretty good in the South East lot. Kinda cool to watch her go from driving your bone stoke red 944 to your turbo.

My Dad and I will not be able to make it to this one either. Were taking Smurf to a POC Fontana infield STS event.

Looks like a fun (loopy!) track though

I won't be able to make this AX either. Isabella has a kart race at Calspeedway.

Erik, since you and your dad are going to be at Fontana, try to stop by during a break and say hello. We'll do the same at the end of her final race.

Mark Kinnenger - You earned/have the coveted TTOD Yellow Jersey.
Can you get it to the AX - or can I come by Black Foerst to get it? Give me a call. 619-417-2124.

Kim Crosser will be very disappointed if it's not at the AX when he gets TTOD! :roflmao:

Thanks
