Welcome to the forum, and the slippery slope of performance driving! As Marie's instructor on the 24th, I can tell you that she took more than 25 seconds off her lap time between her first session and timed runs, so she is learning quickly. Once she gets comfortable with the limits of her car and gets more aggressive about attacking the course--watch out!

Are you still going to the LVR women's driving clinic at Spring Mountain this month too, Marie?

Thanks! Yah, I will bring the Ultima out to the "other car" event--it is the one autox each year where it isn't frowned upon to bring a non-Porsche.

I was hoping to see Tom's LeGrand DSR in December.
Let's take a vote.

All in favor of Tom bringing his DSR to the next AX say aye!

I've seen the Ultima. I think the LeGrand DSR may get TTOD.

The LeGrand may be a better autox car for sure, with its light weight, short wheelbase, narrow body, and especially because it is set up with R25A compound Hoosier slicks and an autox alignment. Unfortunately, time and financial constraints have put it into storage for the last year, and it would be too much work for me to recommission it and bring it out for this event. The Ultima is set up for big tracks with hard compound slicks that are difficult to get hot quickly enough for them to work well at an autox, but it has still scored TTOD before, even with me driving it. http://results.pcasdr.org/event_standings.php?event_date=2008-01-26 With someone like Erik, Steve or Jad driving it, it would have a very good chance. Since the "other car" autox is an untimed event, it really is a moot point, and I'm just bringing it out to have fun and get a little more seat time in it.
