And a big holiday 'Thanks for nuthin' goes to...

Craig F!

You work tirelessly on your track car with the limited time and funds available, and get comfortable with the result. You find balance, peace and harmony with your P-car. You are almost satisfied.... or perhaps content. Then your friend shows up at your place unannounced with his friend (super nice guy and new club member) to show you that guy's '96 Ruf Turbo S. Not a scratch, 570hp; he even takes you for a ride...

Sublime, pristine interior (and exterior), and acceleration like you have never seen. Cruise out on the main road, ease through first gear and then BAMMM- through second in a blink, and third, too (120mph at the 7200 redline). Then back to pedestrian pace around the block and back home.

After they leave, you walk over to your track car, take a look and think...... (yay) :?

Happy Holidays! (bah, humbug...)

No worries Forrest, just take your car back in the other direction (street), throw in a 993 turbo and voila!
Your close :burnout:
Just a few months or more of redoing what you've taken out :banghead:

Forrest,

Funny post, my friend... It was a pleasure meeting you. Honestly, if I were to do it again, I would probably work on putting together a nice race car like yours! Although, the RUF is insane!

Javier,

Purely in the interest of good will towards a new club member, I will trade with you; even Steven. I know, I know... it's a huge sacrifice on my part, but hey- it's the season for good will!

If I had $50k sitting around, I would probably put it down on a new Turbo or wait for the Panamera Coup...

Forrest,

I feel your pain. I was lucky enough to drive Javier's Ruf at this past weekend's AX. HOLY $%&@ I love that car! After the first lap I was giggling like a little school boy...after the second lap I was just shaking my head at the unreal power and brakes it had. I swear it brakes better in the wet than my car does on dry pavement (it has GT1 brakes). Once my fun was all over I turned to Javier and said "I hate you, Javier...I don't even think I like my car anymore!"

Wow, you two are generous with those offers. Even though I would love another 275hp like the Ruf has I still love my car and it will take a lot more than a little fling with another car to make me part ways with her. After driving Javier's car things are just a little different, I just now have to think of driving my car like it's a momentum car as sad as that sounds!

(I know the 914/944 guys are laughing at this :roflmao: )

After the F1 drivers said the same thing when they went to the weak little V8's (900 hp in a 620kg car), EVERYONE can say it! :surr:

AGILL,

If you want to see what's at the end of the slippery slope, stop by the house. My car started as a pristine 993 C4S with aerokit 2...

I will have to have Craig F take me over to your place some time so I can check it out...he's told me a lot about your car. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to some big tracks this year and will see you and what's left of yoru car :beerchug:
