Arrive and Drive karting

Postby Jad on Mon Nov 29, 2004 4:01 pm

There is another arrive and drive karting event this Sunday at El Cajon. Anyone interested? It is a lot of fun....

Let me know and I will try to put together a team.

I'd love to share the driving on your team , but wheel-to-wheel racing calls...........I've learned to listen to the call of the Y chromosome!

Wish I could. Too busy.

I had too much fun last time, and was proud of our 4th place finishing. 8) I think you'd do better without me as your "Team Anchor." :?

As defined by Funk & Wagnalls standard desk Dictionary:

"An-chor (ang'ker) 1. A heavy implement, usu. of iron or steel, with hooks or flukes to grip the bottom, attached to a cable and dropped from a ship or boat to hold it in place. 2. Any object used for a similar purpose."

#2 ... that's me!

I was the best asset the other teams had......

I think you are being rather hard on yourself :? . You were at worst dead weight or ballast to give the other teams a fighting chance :D

Maybe more people will have time in January. Still need 1 or maybe 2 more drivers....Bueller?

So none of you big talkers want to get into a gentle kart for a team enduro race??? Wheel to wheel racing in someone else kart for 4 hours is SOOO much fun and a better learning experience than a few laps around cones in a parking lot.

Anyone? Or are there just too many other races, birthdays, and misc seasonal commitments for this weekend.

Looks like everyone was smarter than I was this time. We waited in the rain for an hour before they canceled the event.

Next event is January 23, hopefully we can get a couple of teams together and some good weather!
