Tour/Rally Dates???

Postby Chaoscreature on Wed Jan 06, 2010 8:24 pm

I was looking through the calendar and I didn't see any tours or rallies in the next couple of months.
I love going on tours and talking shop with other like minded enthusiasts and I am sure many of you here do as well. The once a month AX's are fun but I like to take my Porsche out every weekend.
Lets try and plan something, I can help with planning, organizing etc.
PM me or post something here is interested.
Thanks!

Indeed, I don't know all what is involved but a tour/rally per month, or even two, sounds good to me!

Yes, I also was going to say that I think we are still looking for Tour chairs. Here is your chance to step up and make a difference

If anyone has any guidelines or instructions for organizing a Tour/Rally feel free to forward them to me.

Maps, google routes and way points are also welcome. ;-)

George,
I was going to assume the role, but was waiting for the February 3rd monthly meeting to make it official. I also thought this would be a good time to get together with the other chair members in charge of planning to try and work in a few dates.
I could really use some help though, I have never led a tour either. Maybe we could co-chair together?
I will shoot you an e-mail as well with my contact info.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!

To others reading this post, I am hoping to have something official in the next month or two and plan on running 4-5 tours this year (dates to be determined). I also go on frequent "fun-runs" which are not PCA endorsed, so I can help keep people posted if interested.

Nobody's ever written a good guide to putting on a rally, I've done a few pages (I could send you) but it's no way complete. So much is different between TSD, Monte Carlos, Gimmick, etc. SD Co also has some unique terrain challenges that most other areas don't. I'd be happy to work with you. What kind of rally did you have in mind?

Feel free to forward any docs to me. I'm happy to let Peter chair this, besides driving :-D, my interest in collecting info that members can easily access to learn about, collaborate and organize events; a knowledge base.

Is this the same Bill I met at the La Luz tour?
