OCR AX & POC STS both on 3-14 @ ETF

Postby 3rd_gear_ted on Tue Feb 09, 2010 2:19 pm

Who is going to try and enter both events on the same day? I know of one driver already who wants to. Just think of the driving experience that would be.

I'll be there Sat only as well. I had heard there is 'no' passing?? This would suck IMHO. Anyone else hear that? I am trying to get confirmation.

No passing, overpriced, 6 run groups (less run time), and an incredibly difficult to decipher classification system (Which put my GS/GP car in V4) hmmm. :surr:

The following weekend (March 19-21, 2010) Students can come learn performance driving techniques and car control with group and one on one instruction in a very safe environment. They'll also get great food and don't have to worry about car classification or additional safety equipment. Instructors can come to Qualcomm, instruct, eat and drive their cars at the end of the day Sunday for FREE!

You haven't missed it yet. The Q is still the best deal out there.

POC confirmed that there will be no passing. They will have an exit/detour for slower cars to pull off and let faster cars go by. The city may allow one passing zone, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. See the POC forum for more info.

Wow! Really? Geeze....

With car's ever-increasing HP and upgrades, any P-car with <180-BHP might as well just stay home. With so many lightened cars and advanced drive-trains out there the older, more "stock" 4-cylinder cars would probably wind up sitting in the "Detour" zone during most of the run sessions sipping coffee and chatting up the latest forum posts. How fun .... :banghead: Maybe I'll bring Monica's 912 ... and a BIG thermos. :roflmao:
