Lee Hurty has passed away

Postby ttweed on Sat Jan 30, 2010 7:35 am

I received an email this morning saying that longtime PCA-SDR member Lee Hurty has passed on. Memorial info is as follows:

First Baptist Church, 125 W. Hawthorne St. in Fallbrook,
Saturday, February 13, at 1300.

A friend of his named Ken Harrison <n6rum[AT]mac[DOT]com> is looking for pictures of Lee and emailed me because after my father died nearly 10 years ago, I sold Lee his last Porsche, a red 928. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics of Lee and the car at the time. He also mentioned that another friend, Milt Davies, would be a good contact if
you need more information. Milt's email is wwe1104[AT]sbcglobal[DOT]net.

My Condolences to the Family. As a new member of SD PCA speaking, I am sure the whole group feels this as a great loss. RIP

This is sad news...I first meet Lee about 1970 when he was running his black 911S at Holtville. A very, very nice person, kinda quite, loved Porsches and hell of a driver. We would run into each other about every 3 or 4 years.

His Dad, Ralph was President of our Region in 1974.

Godspeed Lee, I know you will be missed.

Lee was a regular at the 928 tours and meetings early in the millennium at the Carlsbad malls with his red 928 which was originally owned by Tom Tweed's father.

Since I am new and very bad with names. Was Lee at the last Autocross in January? Sorry, I hope I am not mixing somebody up.
