Where to post?

Postby elcap00 on Sat Feb 20, 2010 3:27 pm

With all the uber-enforcement of posting guidelines I would like to know where I can/should post a "Want to buy"

I need a PS2 315/25/19 tire or set and dont want to get anybody riled up by posting in a wrong area. Can anybody steer me in the wrong direction? Should we have a classified section online?

Thanks
Toby

Wow Dave!
A correct and timely post...
I take back all those horrible things I said about you.
Ok-Maybe not all of them

We really don't want people using the forum for sales... that is what the classifieds are for and it is a really nice system.
But we realize that people do not go there regularly unless you are buying or selling something.

So it is OK to say "Hey I am selling my widget off my 911SC, check the classifieds for details".
This really helps the Porsche community as a whole as you might know a guy who knows a guy that just blew up his 911SC engine after 372,000 miles but the rest of the car is a bit ratty and not worth the expense of a full rebuild.
But that would never have sent you or the guy who knows a guy to the classifieds.
So now you can relay to him about the post you saw two weeks ago where a guy is installing a new motor into his 911SC and is pedaling his old motor for a fraction of the cost of a rebuild.

That's what the forum is for... Porsche people helping Porsche people.
