And......

Check out the new stuff on there if you're not signed up yet.

Conway British Imports (3780 El Cajon Boulevard) sold me my first new car - a 1973 MGB Roadster in Green Mallard livery (that year's equivalent of "British Racing Green"). Their octogon logo sign hung around on the street for several years after the company closed (early 90's?) - it had various signage replacing the MG logo, including a fabric cover hung over the sign for a while, but was finally torn down sometime several years ago.

Woodie's Place (NW corner of State and A streets, as I recall) used to be a great place to get some work done in the 70's. They always had various British cars, plus a few German ones around.

Wow...that's cool...I remember them now! I had totally forgotten them. If any one has ideas of more that would be of interest to readers, please let me know...photos would be great!

I'll also put a notice in the next Witness looking for stuff.

Ted Myrus asked me why I was doing this...I told him, just for fun. If it gives people a little time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, thinking about car stuff...it's all good!

There were a couple of shops I used to work for when living in San Diego.

Huntley Racing in Santee, no longer in business.
Anderson Motorworks also in Santee. However I believe they are still in business in Escondido.

Last I heard, after the demise of Huntley Racing, Derek started "Khajavi Motorsports" in Costa Rica. He was selling a Boxster-look race car from there in 2009, anyway.
