wanted: roll bar for 944 turbo

Postby Mike Cornelius on Wed Nov 24, 2004 9:22 am

I am looking for a roll bar setup for a 1986 951. Does anyone have one laying around that they want to get rid of? What brands have people used in the past. This car will be used for street/DE/autocross.

Most people use the Autopower rollbar. Never tested mine  , nor has anyone else I know, but they seem well built. Autopower in located in downtown SD. As I recall, the bar is about $500 and installation (elsewhere) is another $500 or so.

Good luck!

You might also check out RedLine Motorsports bar, http://www.homestead.com/redlinerennspo ... dPage.html.
I don't know much about it, but I have read postive comments on Rennlist.

I have a friend who normally works with full cages for off raod and pre-runner cages. He will be building a cage for me in the next month or so... He does incredible work and will build to whatever specs and design you want (but he also has great experience with knowing what can and cannot be done safely) I tested one of his cages in my 1994 Ford Ranger at 90mph in Ocotillo Wells this year... walked away without a scratch!
