It should be $160.
Maybe you are doing the math backwards? Perhaps the price should be DOUBLE of what the one day cost is, but if you sign up for two its $70 LESS.

That's also called incentive to make you want to come out for two days and get your awesome $70 discount.
Thanks Robert, I love saving money!

Actually Steve, though I said it lightheartedly the practice makes total sense to me, the incentive to add the second day at a lower per day cost works.Apearently it worked for me as I was the first person after the TT chairs to sign up...for both days...and timed runs
Gary Burch wrote:Maybe the reason for the extra charge is to keep the DE entries to a minimum, and not interfere with the TT base by taking up valuable track or posturing time.
Let's see if this makes sense, the TT program is in trouble because of a number of reasons(low attendance, escalating costs, smaller and smaller pool of drivers,...) the solution is to draw from the shrinking pool of ax drivers and convince them to TT. So it starts with a DE, a DE that costs $35 more than it should. That is the way to promote attendance. Convince them to sign up for the extra day for only $70 more, oh yeah you need a transponder that's $30, oh if you want timed runs it's another $25. Yeah, you'll have to stay another night, that's $80...
I know this isn't a cheap hobby. But, saving a little money here and there makes it a lot easier at home.

We do think alike sometimes Gary...I too wish the best for the TT program. There are many that will pay for this sport whatever it is regardless of the cost or reasoning behind it because they can, and this sport is not cheap. That said , you still will not find a better run program or nicer group of people than here. I look forward to when the attendance is back to 60+ cars so the cost can go down accordingly, then you will see my smiling face...
... as I put a major whoopin on Steve G and his rental...

Dan- Have you thought that pointing people to other cheaper inferior events might lessen the number of drivers that show up to our events effectively shooting yourself in the foot? If you want to save money run RA-1's instead of 710's. Drive out Saturday morning, invite Mick to come out and share a room with him. Just some thoughts.
As for a Whoopin; come out to the track and show me what you've got. But beware whinning/typing is a lot easier than driving.
