My 944 turbo s makes a bunch more power with 100 octane dinosaurs in the tank, the difference between 100 and ordinary pump swill is dramatic. All it takes is a few isolated detonation events and the computer yanks back the fuel/timing setup to "lame-o mode" for ever, it seems.
Zillion octane leaded race gas doesn't seem to be much (if any) better at power production in my car than the 100 octane unleaded, and the unleaded doesn't kill the oxygen sensor.....as fast.
I buy mine in Rauncho Santa Fe, it's close to home.
