Parts from Deep Inside my Ferrari X car?

Postby sean996 on Sat Aug 06, 2011 6:32 pm

Hi all,

Really looking forward to tomorrow. It's been a long time since I've had my 308 out with you guys. Not much has changed with it though  .

I'm bringing down a cart of goodies for "show and tell" ... well a bit more than that ... I'm hoping some of you guys that work in the automotive field might recognize some of the gearbox internals from something else. Things like the limited slip clutches are commont to the G50. I'd really like to find sycnro rings and the cones off of something else. Rumor is they are off a very common car but I have not been able to find it.

I thought I'd bring down a cylinder head, con rod, sleeve ... some of the upgraded parts I've made like adjustable cam timing pulleys, control arms. I've also got a quick change drive ratio change kit for the "man who has everything" in your life  .

Stop by the Ferrari pit box and see if anything looks familiar. :D

Cheers all,

Sean D.

Thanks for the kind words my wrenching brutha! ... it was a really fun day and I was doing all I could to get some bud's that came to visit to head down the slippery slope with the rest of us ... got them thinking about 944's :D .

I'll shoot you an email or leave you a message so we can be in touch ... we'll talk each other's head off if you come up and check out the "facility".

You'll see:

1. My 348 which weighs 400#'s less and has 100 more horespower than my 308
2. My other 308 on which I installed 8 individual Hayubusa throttle bodies and a REAL dry sump
3. My electric golf cart that rides wheelies and has an water cooled forward/reverse switch
4. My 911s that I rebuilt the throttle bodies and suspension on ... nothing you haven't seen before though

All engineering, machining, and fabrication peformed "in house" "at my house" :D

Cheers all ... thanks again for such a fun day!
