You had to work and you still got down to take pics, Greg? What dedication!

Thanks once again to the AX team for a great event and to Martin for again getting the results online so quickly. The weather couldn't have been better and the course was fast and challenging, despite the massive intrusion of the Budweiser pavilion making it a bit shorter than usual. Good job, Gordon, on your debut course design! I'm looking forward to next year already. It really seemed to suit my old car, as that was my best result of the entire season. Thanks to the fast guys that stayed home or didn't take timed runs!

And thanks to Jerry B for the tip that made my day. In practice, I thought the course was catching my car "between gears" again--too fast for second and too slow for third in a lot of places. He said to me at the start line "Well, just go faster then" and it worked! By just charging the corners a little harder, I could stay in third for most of the time without losing too much time from the lack of torque on corner exits, and perhaps making it up from not having to shift. That seemed to make the difference!

Congrats to Leigh for overcoming the Corwin challenge and taking the 944 Spec battle. That was an epic struggle this year.

Tom, Great driving! You've been flogging that old car all year and really pulled it out this time.

Thanks, Mark! I really thought there might have been a high 1:01 in the car, but I made a mistake in my third timed run that took that possibility away, turning in late for the righthand sweeper at the top of the hill and missing the apex by a mile. I had to feather the throttle to keep from mowing the cones on the outside of the turn, and that hurt my speed all the way down the long straightaway past the Budweiser sign. But driver errors are a big part of the game, and not unusual for me, unfortunately. I was still happy with a low 1:02 on my second lap.

Like you, I have to thank Steve G. for taking care of all the mechanical issues to make the car reliable that I had neither the time or capability to accomplish during the long build process, and for putting a setup on the car that I can drive "flat out" with confidence. :D

Thank you Jerry, Mark and Gordon for all the effort and fun, as well as to every Porsche and X car person who helped make it happen! It was super fun and a little bit scary!

Congratulations to Leigh and Jackie for a spectacular year-long competition with true gentlemen racing, grace and manners!

Also, now's the time to classify your car for next season. We start a fresh AX season in 2012. Link to classify

yes a great! autoX day and another superb PCASDR event. The longer I do this the more I see how much work has to happen for things to run so smoothly. Kudos to the AX team for a great year!
Another Kudos to all the drivers and class winners! You guys are fast!
And a final THANKS from all us X car guys that you so graciously allow to play. When we grow up, we want to buy Porsches. (a 996 GT3 would really work for me  )

Great AX! Gordon, really nice track design. I especially liked the first half going up the hill with the fast left-hander. Thanks to Mark and Jerry for a great AX 2011 season! And, thanks to the timing, saftey and pre-reg teams who all did an awesome job!

I've got the car all dialed in for CC8 next year

Thanks to everyone involved for making my very first AX an amazing one. Fast cars, fun track = But the best part for me are the awesome people in PCA SDR I got to hang out with for the day. :beerchug:

A very special thanks to my fabulous instructor, Jackie!

And my humble apologies for all the people who had to pick up cones after me  But I guess you won't know your limits without exceeding them at least once (or in my case, twice!) :D

Can't wait to start fresh next year! :burnout:

+1 from another X-car guy :D PCA runs the best auto-x events. The course is always challenging and competition is close. You guys and gals are serious drivers!

Looking forward to doing more next year.
