Back in the Fold.....

Postby pecivil on Mon Feb 13, 2012 2:39 pm

As of Saturday I am back in the Porsche fold.....picked up a very nice 03 speed yellow C2 cab!!!!! :beerchug: :burnout:

Dang its soooo nice. only 53k miles with black leather interior. The best car of my car career so far.....I just need the rain to stop so I can drop the top.

and if you were wondering.....SS07 and CC08. I think I like SS07 better. I looked at who/what is in CC08.

How the heck do u put pictures up on this thing?

anybody interested in a very nice 96 M3 coupe with all the right mods an E36 needs? Including Dinan parts? I need to sell a car. 8)

thanks Greg! it has been a long 3 years with no Pcar. Now I have a doozie. I forgot what having power feels like.

I will put the M3 in the windblown witness definitely. Maybe Chuck Sharp needs another car......

Congrats Monte! Question...why do you keep buying cars that look like they belong in a skittles bag???

Come play in CC8...that's where all the fun is going to be this year!

Thanks Adam!

How did u know I like skittles!

What can I say I like bright colors. There is just something soooo right about speed yellow on a Porsche. It is so much better than FLY yellow. (Keith are u reading? hahahah) :roflmao:

as to CC08, you know I am accustomed to WINNING my autoX class, and I think I have a better chance in SS07 vs CC08. To be honest in CC08 I will have zero chance of winning. It is bone stock, but it does have the optional 19" wheels. The rears are 295 width! CC08 looks to be a very competitive class...and I have exactly zero experience driving a rear engined Pcar. Boy are the dynamics different from a middie engined car. It will take getting used to for sure.

Welcome to my world coming from a front-engine 928 to an early 911SC

Welcome back Monte. So are we keeping the Lotus as a track toy or going 100% Porsche? And as someone else here often says, "In a 911, oversteer is not a bug it's a feature." Enjoy the ride!

Thanks Dave! The cab is my DD now and I think will be fun for autoX. The Lotus will remain my track steed. But you never know.... :surr:

Hey Montey,

Here are the results from the Feb 5th AX:
http://results.pcasdr.org/event_standings.php?time_format=0&database=&event_date=2012-02-05

In CC08 you basically have GoCart to compete with. Although Lori will certainly be more competitive when she gets her car back and isn't driving a loaner. That was my 4th AX ever so don't expect to get a real run for your money from me.

You would certainly stand a great chance in SS07. Having yourself as your competition would certainly level the playing field. :roflmao:

The real competition is in CC09. Put some sticky tires on your new whip and give those guys everything they can handle. Please don't come and spoil my chance at getting 2nd or 3rd in a class of 3. :surr:

PS - Your new ride sounds awesome. I love speed yellow. Can't wait to see it flying around at the Q. :beerchug:
