Now for our weekend weather...

Postby Mmagus on Mon Mar 12, 2012 9:12 pm

I was reading through the report and came to this part...

" THERE IS ALSO THE POSSIBILITY OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH SMALL HAIL OR GRAUPEL ...ALONG THE COAST AND LOWER WESTERN VALLEYS ...WITH WATERSPOUTS OVER THE COASTAL WATERS. THIS STORM IS ALSO EXPECTED TO BRING HIGH SURF TO THE BEACHES."

Which of course reminded me of this...

when it rains at the autox the questions always is:
is the fun of slipping n sliding > the misery of corner working??

guess what! GPX is having the day away from work DE at Streets Monday, and the forecast is possible SNOW! yes thats right folks, SNOW in the antelope valley, the Cajon pass, 14 and 138 possible to likely on Sunday! the snow level could be down to 2000 feet! With possible Hail too! Storm Warning in effect!

This will be fun in the lotus with RA-1's that have almost lost their grooves......   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Oh, yeh, the groove would have made all the difference with frozen RA-1 on the snow :D !

Once ---- I tried driving a Porsche on summer tires in light snow. Lets say the two wheel drive pickup with normal tires had no trouble towing my car from the side of the road that simply would not move in those conditions with full tread summer only tires

All I have to run on Saturday are Hoosiers or totally smooth NT-01's.
Or my GSS car...........with new(ish) sticky(ish) street tires that might work in the rain.
What the hell, I'm bringing it anyway for a friend to drive.......
