Simulator Results

Postby Bill on Mon Aug 06, 2012 12:46 pm

I was curious who won the prizes from the San Diego Porsche simulater contest a few weeks ago. There appears to be no names of winners, their times, or their prizes either on the forum or, the last time I looked, on the SD Porsche site. When I asked several people at the last AX no one seemed to know. The silence seems strange, and a little disturbing, considering the significance of the prizes.

Hi Bill,

I attended the event and verified Membership Status on all participants. It was required to be a PCA or POC member to be a contestant. On Saturday the top 10 finalists competed and I am sure you could get a complete list of the top 10 names from the dealership. However, I do know the top 3 winners:

Trent Dyrsmid PCASDR Member since February 2012. 1st place, won the trip to the Porsche Driving Experience in Alabama.

Harry Demas PCA-OCR member since 2001 and just transferred to PCASDR July 2012. 2nd place, won the Porsche Design watch

Abe Zaidi- (Hassan's Brother) PCASDR Member since 2008. 3rd place, won the $250 gift certificate for any Porsche Design item.

The event was extremely well run and well attended. I think Joe Allis is a terrific new owner and a real asset to the PCA.

I do not remember the winning times, but I think a few of the top 10 contestants may be able to fill in that information here.

Just a slight correction--Abe is Hassan's cousin, I believe, not his brother.

Obviously, he can drive fast when sitting in one spot and his tachophobia does not come into play! :P

Actually Hasan isn't my brother or cousin, Keith started that rumor because we share the same last name
