^^^^Ah, that explains it.

Here I was thinking you'd been out of driving for so long you'd forgotten everything and just decided to start with the basics again!

I was reading about the Fontana DE event and looking at the 2012 rules
and read that if you want to start going to AX, DE, TT events and what have you,
you need to progress in experience and get signed off by instructors in a "PCA Region 8 logbook".

Does this Performance driving school qualify for "logged" experience?

If so, where can I get a "log book" ?

PS: The 2001 Boxster S now has new Hankook tires all around, I will be flushing the brake fluid soon and the brake pads are at about 50%.
Also bought a full face Helmet SA2010

Yes, log books will be available at the PDS for $10 and 2 driving days of PDS count towards qualifying for a solo competition permit. The Fontana DE in Oct. is an entry level event with no experience required but the PDS will prepare you very well. See ya in the grid.

The Fontana DE counts as 1 day of driving toward your Time Trial permit. Just to be clear, there is no experience necessary for AX or this DE. ONLY time trials and club races have requirements beyond a drivers license and some general safety equipment like a helmet and safe car. The DE is a great way to get lots of seat time and experience a real race track. The performance driving school (PDS) is a great way to learn car control and be a better driver. If you want to be a good driver, you really need to try to attend both and get lots of seat time as they are very different experiences. If you just want to cruise around and have fun, either will help you move toward your tt license.

For all my fellow procrastinators...
I've been watching the signup list and at the rate its been going for the last 3 weeks, we should be full within a week. No time like the present...

The PDS is SOLD OUT! We have nobody on the waitlist however and cancellations are always possible. You can still sign up (although subject to the $35 late fee) and we will put you on the waitlist.
