Auto Club Speedway March 8 DE is CANCELLED!!!

Due to what appears to be extreme weather forecasted for this Friday's DE at Auto Club Speedway, the DE team in conjunction with the SDR Board of Directors have taken the unusual step of CANCELLING this event. Please do not go to the track this Friday. Repeat: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED!

The track has kindly agreed to allow SDR to cancel without incurring significant fees, given the expected weather. As a result, no one will be billed anything for this event, despite the Club's posted cancellation policy which allows charges to be assessed in circumstances such as these. The track will offer us a potential replacement date in the future which we will e-mail you about if/when we agree on one. You will need to re-register for that event if it happens and you wish to participate. Season Pass participants that DID NOT cancel prior to the sending of this e-mail WILL receive credit for this event, as if they had participated. Season Pass participants that DID cancel prior to the sending of this e-mail WILL NOT receive credit for this event, as if they had never signed up for it.

Please note that our past events have always run rain or shine, and it's expected that our future events will too. The fact that we are able to cancel this event with no charges billed to anyone is unusual and should not be considered the norm or precedent setting in any way.

Even though we are disappointed that we won't drive, I want to give major kudo's / thanks to Robert and Jack for sorting this situation.
The volunteer work they do to organize a "normal"event must be challenging.
With the forecasted weather, the negotiations with Fontana organizers and what I assume were more than a few cancellations, their workload must have gone up logarithmically.
