Passing of member Tom Schoch

Postby auxxcay on Tue Jan 14, 2014 6:31 pm

Tom Schoch was a club member in the 80's and 90's and loved to race his '72 targa and later is '76 911. His daughter Cindy Mayer told me he always loved the club and would have wanted any old timers to know he had passed peacefully with his family on January 2nd. I know he is hitting that late apex at the great track in the sky. RIP Tom.

Sad to hear. Tom was a classy guy and we had some close AX battles a long time ago.

Tom and his wife were great people and very active in the club in the 80's. . Tom was the manager of the Town & Country in Mission Valley
and provided the hotel as the headquarters for the 1977 Parade. . . He time trialed, auto-crossed as well as the social and concour events.
I hate to see my old friends slip away. . RIP

His Obit is in today's [Sunday Jan 19th] San Diego newspaper
