Yea, congratulations Bob!! What an amazing drive! Bob, Jackie, Jose and I did a late night inspection of the whole track by flashlight...and I implemented some of Bob's ideas in the first session on Sunday. Right away I sliced off 1.2 seconds from my best time Saturday. That really opened my eyes, I thought I had reached the end of my rope. I just could not find any time. Then chasing Jacky I pulled another 1.5 seconds on top of that! At this point, I don't even know what I did... I just know I was pushing that little pumpkin like the devil was chasing me. :burnout: The spin was just to make sure nobody was sleeping in the pits. It was funny...when the car stopped, all I saw were heads looking over the wall to see what happened. I guess going flat over the last turn does not really work.

Congrats, Bob. Nice driving!

No one else has a faster time than Bob's in our results database, but it's a 2:26.83 (not 1:26--that would be crazy-F1-fast for a 3.1 mile track!): http://results.pcasdr.org/track_records.php?time_format=1&database=tt&track_name=Spring%20Mountain%20-%20Full%20Track%203.1%20mi.%20Clockwise
The next closest track records in class are in the 2:28s-- Mike Gagen in AR1 at 2:28.4 in 2006 and Jad at 2:28.91 in MI at this event (which has to be an all-time BRI record for indexed time, I think.)

Good driving, for sure!

John and Tom, you are absolutely right. Bob drove incredibly well and that was after hanging out laughing until midnight. You deserve more than a forum post for that finish. Thanks for the tips. Track walks really do help!

That's what I'm talking about! I think that might be a little more than 20 points though.

Ya, a few more than 20 points! :D That's the David Finch Raetech 944 that won the SCCA Runoff in GT-2 six times, came in 2nd five times, and sat on the pole 10 times between 1988 and 2005. http://www.raetech.com/944_Racing/944.php

It is undoubtedly the most highly developed 944 in the world, and resembles a street 944 about as much as the current Pratt & Miller Pontiacs and Corvettes running in the Grand Am and ALMS series resemble their production brethren.

You mean, that's not Chuck Sharp's (Jad's) 951 and a little photoshop coloring? :burnout:

You can tell it is not my old car, because the side view mirrors are different... and maybe a few other things
